This builds a community of disciplined citizens for both defence and disaster response for Britain, and creates a skilled workforce that helps put skilled people into priority industries.

The outcome for this service will have a service record that the citizen can put on their CV showing their skills off. Employers can then prioritize those with a completed service record, and give those who have completed their service a way into university, should the citizen want to further their education, or into apprenticeships and national industries with guaranteed placement.

To celebrate this service, an Annual Service Day will be introduced, showcasing the newest cohort ready to undertake the service.

In times of natural disaster, national emergency, or external threat, citizens trained in this programme will be Britain's first line of defence and resilience.

The discipline and teamwork learned during these 24 months ensure Britain has not only a skilled workforce but a nation bonded in purpose.

Real wealth is what a nation controls in minerals, energy and production capacity.

We need to create a ledger based on our national resources, where we audit the number of iron, silver, rare earth materials, fossil fuels and renewable energy.

This will be transparent and reported publicly to all British citizens to show exactly what we are extracting, how we are extracting and also the number of minerals.

This will be invested into infrastructure, research and space development for Britain.

Incentives being tax breaks for any resource discovery and any planned missions for deep-sea mining and asteroid exploration will be state backed with finance.

National Resource Ledger

Iron

Used to make steel for buildings, building, rebar etc.

Aluminum

Lightweight, corrosion-resistant used in window frames, roofing and wiring.

Copper

Essential for electrical wiring, plumbing and HVAC systems.

Silicon

Main ingredient in glass, concrete and electronics.

Calcium

Used to make cement and concrete.

Chromium

Stainless steel for buildings and infrastructure.

Nickel

Alloyed with iron and chromium to make corrosion-resistant steel.

Zinc

Used to galvanize steel to prevent it rusting.

Manganese

Strengthens steel and is used in construction-grade alloys.

Titanium

Strong, lightweight, used in some structural components and corrosion-resistant coatings.

Sand and Gravel

Core ingredients for asphalt and roads.

Clay

Bricks, tiles and pipes.

Uranium

Nuclear power infrastructure.

Lithium

Used in grid-scale batteries and electric infrastructure.

Phosphorus

Critical in water treatment infrastructure.

Space resource finds become part of the national balance sheet, and are measured and mined accordingly.

By managing our ledger transparently and strategically, we ensure that every citizen can see Britain's wealth is real, measurable and protected.

Resource prosperity is not just economic strength, it is sovereignty.

Energy security will be treated as a national defence priority. Investment will flow directly into grid stability, advanced nuclear, tidal, and geothermal projects, ensuring Britain cannot be held hostage by global shortages or political leverage.

Law must be short, clear, and fair. A nation where citizens cannot understand the rules that govern them is a nation that breeds mistrust and disorder.

Britain must return to simple, transparent laws that serve the people, not the lawyers.

Principles of Law Simplicity

Clarity of Acts

Each act of Parliament, for example the Finance Act or Equality Act, will be capped at 50 pages. Old and outdated acts will be repealed and consolidated into shorter, modern frameworks.

Accessible Law

A free Digital Law Library will be created, giving every British citizen access to all laws in plain language. Legal documents will be written for citizens first, lawyers second.

Regular Review

Every law must be reviewed every 5 years, approved by senior members of legislation, and reaffirmed or removed. No law will remain indefinitely without scrutiny.

Tax Reform

  • Merge Income Tax and employee National Insurance into a single, transparent Community Tax, with one personal allowance and clear tax bands. Revenue will flow back to the region in which it was raised, ensuring communities directly benefit from the prosperity they create.
  • Remove Stamp Duty on property transactions, which penalises people and businesses for moving and investing. Any replacement should be simple, predictable and designed so improvements to property are not punished.
  • Smaller businesses should face a substantially simpler system, allowing entrepreneurs to spend more time building companies and less time navigating tax administration.
  • Every taxpayer should receive an annual statement showing their total tax contribution and, in clear categories, how public money was spent.
  • Britain’s tax system should actively favour productive investment. Businesses investing in new machinery, manufacturing capacity, research, automation, infrastructure or strategically important British industries should receive enhanced tax relief above the amount invested, with greater incentives for investment made within the UK.
  • Inheritance Tax will be abolished. Wealth that has been legitimately earned, accumulated and taxed during a person’s lifetime should be capable of being passed to the next generation without an additional tax being imposed on death. Families should be free to pass savings, homes, businesses and other assets to their descendants.
Britain will be a nation of clear rules, not confusion.

The law will once again be a tool of order and fairness, understood by every citizen. Trust will be restored, complexity cut away, and justice made visible.

Britain's strength and survival depends on its ability to innovate, to harness energy, and to explore new frontiers. Innovation is not a luxury, it is the engine of national pride, prosperity, and security.

Innovation Priorities

Energy Frontiers

Develop projects to harness underused and bold energy sources such as tidal power, geothermal and volcanic movement. Advanced nuclear energy testing to attempt to harness nuclear fusion will take place.

British Space Unit

Establish a permanent state-backed body focused on stellar ships, orbital stations, asteroid mining and planetary exploration. Britain will lead the charge into space.

Infrastructure Innovation

Direct research and resources into climate resilience. Advanced water treatment to combat droughts, agricultural innovation and housing built to withstand extreme weather.

National Innovation Corps

A programme that recruits and funds the brightest minds in science, engineering, medicine and technology, to tackle "grand challenges" with full recognition of service in national service records.

Innovation and exploration will be taught in schools as part of the national identity. From an early age in school, children will learn to invent, to build, to explore and to see Britain not as a follower but as a pioneer nation.

Innovation will not sit idle in research papers or corporate vaults. Every breakthrough funded by the nation will belong to the people, with open access to discoveries that serve the public good.

Private industry will be encouraged to scale innovation, but not to hoard it.

Exploration will extend Britain's reach and identity. As our ancestors charted seas and built great engines of progress, so too will this generation chart the skies and build the foundations of humanity's expansion into space.

Britain's culture will no longer glorify passive consumption but active discovery, invention, and courage.

Failure to innovate will be treated as national decline. Those who resist change hold back the nation; those who dare to explore push Britain forward.

A nation that does not believe in itself cannot lead, cannot prosper, and cannot endure.

Britain must restore pride, unity, and cultural strength so that every citizen feels both duty and honour in belonging to this nation.

Principles of National Pride

Education of Greatness

Schools will teach Britain's history with honesty, but emphasis will be placed on its achievements, discoveries, victories and contributions to the world. Children must grow up proud of their nation, not ashamed.

National Celebrations

Annual celebrations of British achievements in science, industry, exploration, art and military service will be introduced. Monuments and memorials will be maintained with respect, and new ones built to inspire future generations.

Cultural Strength

The arts, music, literature and sport will be nurtured as expressions of national identity. British creativity will be celebrated at home and projected proudly abroad.

Language & Traditions

English will remain the unifying tongue of the nation, and traditional customs will be preserved in ceremonies, schools, and communities to bind generations together.

Public Duty

Citizens will be taught that to be British is not only a right but a responsibility: to serve, to respect, to uphold order and discipline, and to represent Britain with pride wherever they go.

National pride will no longer be passive or nostalgic, but active and living.

Britain will once again carry itself with dignity on the world stage, with citizens who see themselves as part of a greater story.

A strong nation is built on strong families. Demographic decline weakens Britain's future; stability and growth of the family unit must be protected and encouraged.

Marriage, parenthood, and community will once again be respected as the foundation of national strength.

Principles of Family & Population Growth

Support for Families

Families with children will receive tax reliefs, housing priority, and direct state support for education and healthcare. No family should feel punished for raising the next generation.

Marriage & Stability

Marriage will be supported through tax incentives and cultural recognition. Stable households provide children with the discipline and security they need to thrive.

Population Incentives

Citizens who raise children will be rewarded with increased allowances and benefits tied to service and contribution. National programmes will encourage a steady and healthy population growth.

Housing & Communities

Young families will have priority access to affordable housing. New housing developments will be designed around schools, parks, and community centres to ensure families grow in strong, safe environments.

Education of Responsibility

Schools will teach not only academic skills but also responsibility in family, relationships, and parenthood. Young citizens will be prepared to build households of discipline and pride.

Britain will reverse demographic decline, strengthen its social fabric, and create communities where children grow into disciplined, proud citizens.

The family will once again stand as the core of British society and the foundation of the nation's future.

A nation is only as strong as the foundations it builds upon. Britain must restore its ability to construct with speed, quality, and purpose.

Roads, railways, hospitals, energy grids, schools, and housing must serve the people, not be delayed by endless bureaucracy and waste.

Principles of Infrastructure & Efficiency

Rapid Development

Major national projects will be measured in months and years, not decades. Bureaucracy that stalls progress will be stripped away.

National Infrastructure Corps

A permanent body of engineers, builders, and planners will oversee construction and maintenance of core national projects, staffed partly by graduates of National Service trade streams.

Modernisation of Transport

Rail and road systems will be upgraded to world-class standards, with efficiency, speed, and affordability prioritised for citizens and trade.

Energy & Utilities

Power grids, water systems, and broadband will be secured and expanded with resilience in mind, ensuring stability even in crisis.

Efficiency Standards

All projects will be audited for cost, delivery time, and quality, with public reporting. Failure and waste will be held accountable at the highest level.

Britain will rebuild itself into a nation of efficiency and modern strength. Citizens will live in communities supported by reliable infrastructure, free of bureaucratic decay.

By building quickly and with discipline, Britain will once again become a model of progress.

A nation without safety cannot prosper. Britain must restore order on its streets, strengthen its armed forces, and secure its borders.

Security at home and defence abroad are the guarantees of national freedom and prosperity.

Principles of Defence & Security

Zero Tolerance for Disorder

Knife crime, organised gangs, and violent repeat offenders will face absolute discipline through stricter sentencing and visible policing. Depending on the crime committed, the death penalty may be issued. Streets must belong to law-abiding citizens, not criminals.

Border Integrity

Immigration will be controlled, with firm checks and swift enforcement against illegal entry. Britain's borders must be respected, and entry must serve the national interest. Any attempt at illegal entry into Britain will be met with the National Defence and will be dealt with force.

Modern Armed Forces

Britain will rebuild its military strength with advanced technology, cyber defence, and investment in naval, land, and air power. Service members will be respected, properly equipped, and trained for modern threats.

National Service Reserve

Citizens who complete National Service will remain part of a national reserve force, able to mobilise in times of crisis for defence for the country only or disaster relief.

Community Safety

Local communities will be supported with resources for neighbourhood safety, discipline in schools, and the removal of antisocial behaviour from public life.

Britain will once again be a nation where citizens feel secure in their homes, proud of their armed forces, and confident that their borders are defended.

Order, discipline, and strength will replace crime, chaos, and weakness.

A nation cannot make wise choices if its people are deceived. Media, information, and education must be transparent, accountable, and free from manipulation by elites, corporations, or foreign powers.

Truth belongs to the people.

Principles of Media & Truth

Transparency in News

Media outlets will be required to disclose ownership, funding sources, and political affiliations openly, so citizens know who is behind the message.

Accountability for Misinformation

Deliberate spreading of false information that harms national security or public trust will face strict penalties. Free speech is protected, but lies that damage the nation will not be tolerated.

Public Access to Facts

Citizens will have guaranteed access to unbiased reporting of government actions, spending, and major national events through a state-managed but independently verified platform.

Protection from Foreign Influence

Foreign ownership or hidden funding of British media will be banned. Britain's information must serve Britain's people, not the agendas of outside powers.

Cultural Balance

Media and education will reflect both Britain's history and achievements, instilling pride without distortion. Truth must not be weaponised to shame the nation or manipulate its citizens.

Britain will become a nation of informed citizens, where truth is visible and manipulation is exposed.

The media will serve the people, not special interests. By protecting truth, Britain protects its democracy, its unity, and its future.

A nation without higher purpose falls into weakness and decay. Britain must reject a culture of indulgence and apathy, and instead cultivate discipline, ambition, and service to something greater than the self.

Our purpose will be built on innovation, exploration, and duty to the generations that follow.

Principles of Purpose & Human Spirit

National Mission

Britain's higher purpose is to lead humanity in discovery, justice, and exploration. Citizens will see themselves as pioneers in building a future among the stars, not passive consumers of comfort.

Moral Discipline

Purpose comes from service, responsibility, and ambition, not superstition. Britain will teach duty, courage, and selflessness as moral pillars that bind society together.

Education of Virtue

Schools will instill discipline, responsibility, and ambition in every citizen, ensuring young people see life as a chance to build and contribute, not merely consume.

Culture of Sacrifice

A nation rises when its people put mission before indulgence. Britain will teach that building something lasting is worth more than chasing fleeting pleasures.

Human Spirit as Innovation

Britain's culture will celebrate inventors, explorers, and leaders as models of greatness, proving that human progress is our highest calling.

Britain's purpose is not only to endure, but to lead humanity forward.

Britain will become a nation of disciplined, ambitious citizens who live for more than themselves.

By rejecting empty consumerism and embracing purpose, Britain will stand as a model of strength, unity, and human progress in a disordered world.

A country with resources.
A country that builds.
A country that innovates.
A country with purpose.
A Britain that believes in its future.

The Doctrine for Britain sets out ten articles for national renewal, spanning civic duty, prosperity, law, innovation, culture, family, infrastructure, security, information and human purpose.
